Corazon del Mundo Cacao was born out of a visit to an Arhuaco Tribe family farm outside Pueblo Bello in the Sierra Nevada Mountians of Colombia. Friends Peter & Joey organized a retreat to connect to the land and learn from the tribe. Joey had been studying the Mayan tradition of Cacao Ceremonies with his spiritual teacher Nana Marina Cruz of the Tzutujil Maya of Guatemala for years and shared what he knew with the Arhuaco family. The family said that their neighbors also produce cacao & they could send it to us in the US. A cooperative of 20 Arhuaco family farms was formed and Peter’s Colombian family helped with logistics. Now we bring to you some of the best tasting highest quality single origin heirloom cacao we’ve ever come across. We hope you love it as much as we do! Proceeds directly support these local indigenous families to preserve their traditions and lands.
